I have the last of my garden stored away, the garden hoses are drained and the outside water shut off. I hope I haven’t neglected anything before winter arrives. I still have to get the winter tires installed.

I hope your thanksgiving was as wonderful as mine. Loraine, Holly and Chase came up for the weekend and our family rejoiced around the table at Barry and Gloria’s. We counted our blessings and they were many and varied.

Mark your calendar for Lewis Memorial’s turkey supper on Oct. 19 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Cost is $15 for adults.

We have an outing on our events board. Windmill Theatres will present “Anything Goes” on Thursday, November 26. This is a dinner theater and we need 21 members to sign up in order to procure a bus. Tickets are $45.00 and are for members only.

Black Diamond has a new economic development officer in the person of Quinn Page-Smith. I have so much admiration for this young woman and I know we all wish her the best in her new position. You can be sure she will give it her utmost.
