The first meeting of the new season went well, there were a lot of issues dealt with. The meeting approved the motion to build a cabinet to showcase our beautiful silver tea service and fancy cups and saucers.
It will hang over the piano on the east wall of the main room, Twilight Construction Ltd. has been commissioned to build it and I’m sure it will be a splendid addition to our club rooms. Sandy Bakka has, once again donated three stunning quilts for our Christmas raffle. We were given the opportunity of a sneak preview as Donna brought them to the meeting.
The quote is in for the tile in the vestibule and we will go ahead with that project.
Have you seen the hype that Mars will appear as big as the moon. Mars can never appear as large as the moon, it is relatively inconspicuous in the night sky. In fact, the diameter of Mars is 1/140th of that of our earth.
