The annual bridge luncheon at VNC will be on June 25. Virginia has tickets for our club, Doreen (403-652- 2245 ) has tickets for High River and Helen (403-938-7169 ) has them for the folks in Okotoks.

A plan is in the making to loop the Friendship Trail. Wouldn’t that be splendid to have an extended trail linking our two towns.

Isn’t it heartwarming to read that Sheldon Kennedy has received the Order of Canada. Can’t think of anyone more deserving, such a courageous young man.

Thank you to everyone who has brought me a plant for the perennial bed. We planted on Monday and, so far, it is beginning to take shape. We even have plants from as far away as Lethbridge. We have two beautiful peony’s that were donated in memory of Tony and Audrey Patterson’s parents and tiger lilies in memory of Jean Oborne, who was Peggy Giillis’ and Sharon Norman’s mother. We are in the process of getting a quote to finish the courtyard but, of course, that is a next year project. I am pleased with what we accomplished this year. Thanks to Hugh Kennedy for loading up the final debris, I don’t know what we would do without Hugh, he is always there when we need him.
