Can you believe another month is on the way out? I can’t even remember what happened to March. However, the days are getting longer, the gardens are beginning to bloom and our resident eagle is nesting. Spring is awesome.
Our executive will meet April 30 at noon. Don’t forget the general meeting on May 7 at 1 p.m. It will be the last meeting until after summer holidays.
April 28 was the final whist afternoon until fall. Numbers have been dwindling due to other commitments and probably gardening takes precedence at this time of year.
The line dancers will have their windup luncheon on May 28. Anyone who has danced with us this year, and their significant other, is welcome to join us for dancing at 10 a.m. or just for lunch at noon.
A bus load of us attended the Windmill Players presentation of Nunsense on Thursday evening. Dinner was excellent and some of the scenes were hilarious.
Give some thought to digging up one of your favorite perennials for our courtyard perennial bed. Linda will start the project on April 28. We plan to mark each person’s perennial gift with the plant and donor’s name, so it will be your plant for as long as the elements allow. I’m excited about the courtyard beautification project, the grants we were awarded should very nearly take care of cost.
