Our annual general meeting was fairly well attended. We have three new members on the executive, Treasurer Steve Dookie and two new directors, Irene Smith and Sylvia Binkley. We welcome these newcomers to the executive and thank the retiring members for their dedication. If you would like a copy of the 2015 events, please make Carol aware and I’m sure she would be happy to give you a copy and there will be a list on the bulletin board as well.
The Newcomer’s Group meeting at the library on Jan. 23 was very well attended. There will be a second meeting on May 22 and a third on Sept. 25 if you would like to mark your calendar.
Can you believe we are already into February? My daughter, who lives in Lethbridge, says “January just blew away” but, at least, the days are getting longer.
Numbers were down for our second games night, the next one is Feb. 10 at 7 p.m. Unless we have more participation, we may try having it once a month or, perhaps as the weather warms up, there will be more interest.
