We have had an excellent report from the health inspector. The social committee is to be commended. The kitchen is always spotless. We are saddened to hear of Jack Pitter's passing. He was one of Turner Valley's more memorable mayors. In point of fact, our Valley Neighbours Club building was purchased from him back in 2001 and subsequently renovated into the beautiful facility we are enjoying today.

There will be an executive meeting tomorrow (Jan. 22) at noon, in preparation for the annual general meeting on Jan. 29.
The line dancers will be dancing until 11:30 a.m. only on Jan. 29 to facilitate set up for the pot-luck luncheon, which will precede the annual meeting. I saw a magnificent bald eagle yesterday. I don't know if he is a newcomer or has been here all winter but, in any case, he was a beauty.
