Did you know that if you brush your teeth, leaving the water running, you send 8 litres of water down the drain? If you don’t believe it, try it.

The garden club enjoyed a members’ tour on Sunday. We were pleased that 16 members took advantage of the beautiful day. We had a great tour of Marlis’ farm with fresh tomatoes from her garden, then on to Peggy’s garden and finally to Sharon and Graham’s to enjoy their garden and a pot luck supper.

Black Diamond has set their water usage level at “three”, with heavy fines to those who do not comply. If we continue with this scorching weather, we are going to lose a lot of perennials. Don’t you miss the annual display of snap dragons on Government road? I certainly do.
