Joan, our librarian, has some very special programs coming up for the children of the Longview School. The first will be on June 2 and will be for those in kindergarten. On June 9 there will be one for Grades 5 and 6, and on June 10 the program will be for grades 3 and 4. These will be a very happy note on which to end the winter season.

We have some exciting new non-fiction books in the library, including Mauve Times, by Mauve Binchy. and Dead Wake-The Last Crossing of the Lusitiania, by Erik Larson, and many others.

Sara Gruen, author of Water For Elephants has a new novel out called At The Water’s Edge. It has a romance, historical fiction and adventure, all wrapped into one. It is about three wealthy, upper crust Philadelphians and their search for fame by discovering the monster in Loch Ness in Scotland. The story takes place during the Second World War. Have a very wonderful summer with lots of good reading! The library hours will be just the same.
