Well, I guess it is lunch but Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi will be the guest speaker at the monthly Okotoks Chamber meeting on Wednesday, March 18th. Nenshi was recently honoured with the ‘World Mayor Award’. Now tell me, how many mayors do you know who have that title beside their name! Should be an interesting luncheon at D’Arcy Ranch so book your seat early. He is in favour of a regional pipeline to help with our water situation so I kinda like him already. Bring your questions as he has no problem taking questions from the floor.

Have you seen those beautiful licence plates now available for your vehicle? The slogan on the plate is “Support our Troops”.
When you purchase the plate you pay a one time fee of an additional $50.00 which goes directly to the Veterans to help where needed.
Then in the future you just pay the renewal fee. What a great idea and not only is the donation a wonderful thing the plate is awesome!

Don’t tell Nenshi I said this but I can’t believe the City of Calgary voted to not re-open the budget file so they could possibly make adjustments due to the falling oil prices. My gosh we need more business people on the Cities council by the sounds of it.
