The Okotoks Public Library now has Lucky Day copies on new bestselling adult fiction. These copies are available for a one-week loan with no renewals, no holds and no waiting.

When patrons walk into the library and find one of these popular titles on the shelf, it could be their lucky day and they can take home a must-read book right now. Other copies of the books are always available to reserve by visiting www.tracpac.ab.ca.

The library also has three tablets (two mini iPads and one Samsung Galaxy Tab 4) available for free usage in the library. With free internet access without the need for a wi-fi password, these touchscreen devices are perfect for quick searches and access to all library apps including Zinio (eMagazines), Hoopla (eAudiobooks and movies), OverDrive and 3M (eAudiobooks & eBooks).

Parents wanting to learn about normal infant sleep, healthy sleep habits and what they can do to help babies learn to sleep are invited to register for the Infant sleep for Parents of Babies 3 to 12 Months of Age class to be held Friday, May 8 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. There is no cost to attend but registration is required by calling the library at 403-938-2220. Babies are welcome in class but there is no childcare available for older children.

The next T.G.I.F. PD Day movie will be held on May 15 at 2 p.m. when the library will be showing Paddington Bear, rated G.

Bring your own peanut-free snacks and drinks to this drop-in event. Popcorn will be provided at no cost. No need to register. Limited supervision provided. Children under the age of 7 must be accompanied by a parent.
