Letter: Unbiased reporting needed concerning masks

letters_to_the_editor_330x220

Dear Editor,

I have been a long-time supporter and reader of the Western Wheel having grown up in the area, and look forward to community news and updates. That is until last week and your reporting of Mandatory Masks for Okotoks.

I look for fair and unbiased reporting. Front-page pictures of masks wearers and an article focused on a minority who support mask usage is not balanced reporting.

Why not step out of the political box we have been forced into and feature an article on those of us against mandatory masks - individuals and business owners who believe in choice and who have taken accountability to make decisions that are right for their businesses, and their own wellness.

How about a piece on the importance of relying on our health minister for expertise and guidance rather than on our politicians/councillors? I am so disappointed and won’t be looking forward to your next edition. You have lost this reader’s support.
