Dear Editor,

I have been an Okotoks resident for 22 years and live here for the ‘small town’ mentality.

Soooo, disappointed now that town council has fallen for the ‘big town’ politics with new bylaw of mandatory masks. If they do the math, we have less that a .05 per cent ‘cases’.

Maybe they should look at the mental health and financial health that is affecting 100 per cent of families that live in Okotoks.

If they took two minutes to look at the numbers they would see that the stats for serious cases (people that are in risk groups) rather than trying to control individuals lives and livelihood this is no different than a flu and needs to be managed as such.

I thought our town council was more progressive in keeping the well being of residents more important than politics.
