Letter: Kindness needed — and shown — with loss of Mt. Crumpit

Letters to the editor

Dear Editor,

I believe that many of your readers are aware of the incident of the removal of small toboggan hill on private property earlier this month.

While I feel this was a very sad and unfortunate incident, I have to admire the Town of Okotoks' response and willingness to compensate and learn from this event. I feel they managed this with compassion and professionalism.

Another huge shout out to the property owner; whose response to the town, was respectful and kind, despite what he lost. Unfortunately, other individuals in town are choosing to be very abusive towards the Town of Okotoks and its employees. I do not see the need to be so nasty.

Lessons have been learned; be kind.
