Congratulations to the 2016 Leaders of Tomorrow award recipients!
The Leaders of Tomorrow awards are presented to individuals who are dedicated to volunteering and play a leadership role to inspire volunteerism in others.
Nominations were submitted for six elementary school students, thirteen junior high school students and eleven high school students who fit this description.
I was on the selection committee who reviewed all of the nominations and selected the award winners.
Let me tell you, our future is looking bright with these remarkable young people.
The care and compassion for others that was described in the nominations gives me great hope for the future.

The Leader of Tomorrow Junior High Award recipient is Emily Penzo!
The Leader of Tomorrow Senior High Award recipient is Gabby Gibbs!

The Heart of Okotoks Award is presented to either an individual or group who shows exceptional leadership through volunteering.
Nominations for the Heart of Okotoks award were submitted for seven individuals and two groups.
It really is amazing how many people give so much of their time and put so much heart into improving the lives of others without any thought of reward for themselves.
The Heart of Okotoks Award recipient is Marg Cox!
Marg has made a positive impact in the lives of so many people.
