The Rogers Hometown Hockey Tour rolls into 25 communities across Canada this season with a weekend of free outdoor hockey festivities for all ages. Okotoks is a beautiful community full of hockey fans so it just makes so much sense that our town was selected as one of the host communities.

The Rogers Hometown Hockey Festival is a free event featuring games, prizes, activities and entertainment.

You can check out the Rogers Fan Hub to play some bubble hockey and get NHL alum Darryl Sutter’s autograph. Sportsnet will have a Virtual Photo Booth where you have the chance to get close to your favourite players through virtual technology. The Scotiabank Community Hockey Rink is a family friendly outdoor hockey space where you could interact with NHL alum Dana Murzyn.

The Ram Haul of Fame is a hockey-themed obstacle course that will test your skills and you will have the opportunity to enter the Breakaway Giveaway contest to win a new 2019 Ram 1500.

The weekend culminates in an outdoor viewing party of the Calgary Flames vs. Ottawa Senators NHL game. The game takes place in Ottawa with Ron MacLean and Tara Slone broadcasting from downtown Okotoks. Come on downtown to join MacLean and Slone when they begin the pre-game show from the Sportsnet Mobile Studio at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 24 and stay for the Rogers Hometown Hockey outdoor viewing party of the Flames vs. Senators game.
