My family and I would like to wish everyone a safe and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
May you find peace in your time with family and friends, while embracing the true meaning of the Christmas.
2021 has been challenging, perhaps even more so than 2020. It has brought much adversity, changes and movement towards recovery. It has been difficult and stressful for many, and I hope to see everyone find a way to bring some joy into their hearts as we bring this year to a close.
The holidays may still look a little different this year, but we can still take time to count our blessings and reflect on the positive things that have occurred in 2021. It is so important to be grateful for the blessings that cross our paths.
I have seen a strong sense of community in Highwood through acts of kindness and charity which truly speaks to the nature of this community and how adversity can be conquered together.
Highwood’s unique strength comes from our sense of community, our willingness to lend a hand to those in need and the waves of support from that come from every angle from the constituents.
Please be sure to reach out to those family members, friends and neighbours you may not be able to spend the holidays with.
Simple gestures or acts and kindness go a very long way. If you are celebrating, please do so responsibly.
