If the name rings a bell with you, then you are old enough that you probably watched the Toronto Blue Jays win the World Series back to back in 1992 and 1993. Roberto Alomar was an all-star for 12 seasons and had his number retired by the Blue Jays.
The legend will be the guest speaker at this years Okotoks Dawgs award banquet on Feb. 7.

I see many PC Alberta ridings are holding nomination meetings for candidates so that they will be ready for the next election which could happen anytime between now and Spring 2016.
The date for the Highwood riding nomination has yet to be announced but the local board has asked for it to be held in early March. Many ridings have been slated to hold their nominations on Feb. 21 or Feb. 28, while several others have yet to be announced.

This Saturday, January 24th the Okotoks Rotary Pub Club is hosting their annual Robbie Burns Night. It is happening at the Elks Hall starting at 6 p.m.
We will toast the Haggis and all that stuff. Live music by Fraid Knot so you can do the Scottish jig and show off your family tartan.
