There are so many awesome events happening in Okotoks this weekend!
The Foothills Highland Games are at the Foothills Composite High School this Saturday, Aug. 29. This is a wonderful all day event featuring the Canadian Scottish Athletic Federation Championships, Highland Dancing and the ever popular Ceilidh starting at 6 p.m.

The Okotoks Chili Fest will be happening on Saturday, Aug. 29 in downtown Okotoks. This is a chili cook-off where different teams have prepared their best chili recipe. You get to sample them all and vote for the chili you enjoyed the most. There will be live music and an artisan street market at the event.

The Okotoks Pro Rodeo is on all weekend at the Okotoks Recreation Centre starting with a rodeo performance on Friday, Aug. 28 at 7 p.m. Rodeo performances are also happening on Saturday at 7 p.m. and on Sunday at 1 p.m.
The legendary Rodeo Dance is on Saturday night where you can two-step the night away to live music by Kixxsin.

I’m very excited about all of these events because when my kids say “I’m bored” this weekend I’ll have all kinds of options for something to do!
