Wendy Stadlwiser

Posted

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Wendy Stadlwiser, 58, after losing a battle with cancer. She passed away while at home on August 5, 2020. She leaves behind her husband Ken of 32 years, her children Jennifer, Lindsay, Shaun, Wally, seven grandchildren and sisters Wanda, Sherry and brother Mark.

Wendy loved sports. She played them growing up, coached the kids in baseball and was a huge Flames fan. She always had cats around and treasured her dogs, the latest one being Willy. We will never hear the end of this from Willy, getting his name in the paper....

She was a hard worker, who, starting at age 12, began working in the kitchen at the Aldersyde Gulf. It was professed by one of her customers, who followed her to other kitchens, ranging from Stavely to Okotoks, that she had served him 43,000 eggs in his life. In the last few years she enjoyed working outside in her garden, mowing the grass and taking the grandkids for rides on the side by side.

In lieu of flowers a donation in her name may be made to The Calgary Flames Foundation.
