Robert Arnold, so lovingly known as Bob,
beloved husband and soulmate of Christina
Arnold of Calgary, AB passed away on Friday,
April 29, 2022 at the age of 86 years.

Bob was born and raised in Calgary, AB,
growing up in Elbow Park. Graduating from the
University of British Columbia with a Bachelor
of Commerce degree in 1960, Bob returned to
Alberta to what he loved the most, being close
to the land, animals and ranching. Bob was a
Lifetime Member of the Calgary Exhibition and
Stampede, following years of Volunteer Work
with the Stampede itself and the Rodeo stock at
the Stampede Ranch. He also went on to sit on
the Board for the Friends of the Bar-U Ranch for
many years.

Bob lived his life in a kind, compassionate,
and wise way, giving guidance to so many
in his quiet manner. Whenever asked how
he was doing, the answer was usually, “Any
better I’d be a runaway”. Bob loved his
family and adored his two grandchildren,
Patty and Ryan.

Bob is survived by his loving wife Christina,
daughter Susan (Arnold) Beatson, grandchildren,
Patricia and Ryan Beatson, his sons, Brad Arnold
and Patrick Arnold, and numerous nieces and
nephews. Bob was predeceased by his parents,
Mabel (Sexsmith) and Ted (E.D.) Arnold, sister
Joan, and brothers, Jim and Eddy Arnold.

A Memorial and Celebration of Bob’s Life will be
arranged in the coming months. Condolences,
memories, and photos can also be shared and
viewed at www.McInnisandHolloway.com. If
friends so desire, memorial tributes may be
made directly to the “Sunshine Fund” through
Proactive Seniors, 403-809-1971, or to the
Friends of the Bar U Historic Ranch Association,
http://www.friendsofthebaru.com

In living memory of Bob Arnold, a tree will be
planted in the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation
Area.
