It is with a heavy heart that we announce
the passing of our brother Bob at the age of
79 years old.

Bob was born in England and came to Canada
with his mother in 1946 when they reunited
with his father who had fought in Europe in
WW II. Bob joined the Princess Patricia’s
Canadian Light Infantry in 1961. He did his
basic training in Edmonton AB was posted to
Victoria BC and then to Hemer Germany from
1963 to 1966. In Hemer he met up with his
younger brother Barry who also served with the
Armed Forces. Bob returned home to Canada
in 1966 and in 1967 went on to become a
paratrooper.. He also completed many courses
including APC (armoured personnel carrier
driver), signaler, mortar man, and machine
gunner. Bob was honourably discharged on
July 15 1969 and was awarded the Special
Service Medal with Clasp.

Bob is predeceased by his parents Mary and
Alvin Luchia and his brothers Barry and Ken.
He leaves behind his sister Yvonne (Mick),
brothers Gordon (Michelle), Melvin and
Mike (Loral) and his two sisters in laws Connie
and Betty.
