Marie passed away peacefully at Seasons Retirement Community in High River AB on October 23, 2020.
Loving mother to Stephen (Ruth), Tim (Joanne), and Jeff (Michelle). Proud Grandmother to James, Sam, and Matt. Survived by her siblings Leo, and Paul. Predeceased by beloved husband of 51 years, Lewis, oldest son Michael, and sister JoAnn Neate.
Marie was born and raised in Brampton, ON, completing her RN at St. Michaels in Toronto. After moving to Alberta, she met and married Lewis, where they raised 4 boys on the family farm near High River AB.
Marie was active in the community organizing Blood Donor Clinics, volunteering with Cansurmount, and the CWL. Marie went back to nursing after raising her boys and continued to be active within the community, supporting various charitable organizations.
The family would like to thank Dr. Nancy Vyse, and the wonderful caregivers at Seasons for their superb care and support of Marie over the last six years.
