The family of Marie is saddened to announce
her passing on July 20, 2023 at the age of
61 years following a brave and courageous
battle with cancer.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband
and best friend of 44 years Merle, daughter Jennifer,
son-in-law Dave and Granddaughter Gracie. She
will also be dearly missed by many friends
and family.
Marie was born in Blairmore Alberta to
Fred and Fay Cox. She had a long and
rewarding career in the insurance industry in
which she was known for her high level of
customer service. Marie was highly devoted
to her family. She was the most loving and
supportive wife, mother, and Nana.
Marie loved to spend her summers at
Koocanusa Lake fishing for Kokanee and
visiting with friends. She also found a real
passion for golf over the last few years,
playing many rounds with her golf buddy
Merle and gained a reputation for being a
straight shooter. When not a Koocanusa or the
golf course she could be occasionally found
donating money to a local casino or travelling
the world with Merle and her family.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
