Marie Adelaide (Wentworth) Lineham passed peacefully at the age of 97 years, in Victoria, British Columbia, on Friday July 30, with her daughter Linda, at her side.
Marie was pre-deceased by her loving husband John Donald on February 10, 2005. They had been married 18 days short of 60 years. Marie was also pre-deceased by her parents, Delphine and Clifford; brothers (sister’s-in -law) Jack (Hannah); Willis (Marg); and niece Brenda.
Marie and John were both raised in Okotoks, each with a proud family history.
Marie loved people and in turn people loved her. Marie was involved in cubs, brownies, girl guides, CGIT, and in her later years spent many hours involved with the hospital gift shop. She loved music, dancing and a competitive game of bridge and polker with her friends.
Marie is survived and dearly missed by her loving family: children, Gail (Ken) Mcdonald; Linda (Doug) Varcoe; Bill (Lou) Lineham; grand-children David (Sherrie), Susan, Tiffany (Chris); Melanie (Blake); Teri (Jamie); John (Nikki); Anne-Maire (Genelle). Great-grandchildren Cody, Brendan, Maddie, Ethan, Nolan, Lauren, Zane, Silas and Deacon. As well as Nieces, Jan, Arlene; Nephews, Cliff, Dick and their Families; and relatives in Holland.
The memories are held close in our hearts.
