Linda Joy Paquin passed away quietly Sunday, February 21, 2021 at 12:30 pm, in her mother’s home in Turner Valley, while June and Susan were sitting with her and just happened to be singing to Alan Jackson’s “Fly Away”.

Linda is survived by her mother June Howlett Emslie and her sons Gregory Wayne Paquin and Logan Alexander Murdoch.

Linda is also survived by her father Howard Roland Howlett & her stepfather John Emslie; her brothers, Howard Wayne Howlett & David John Howlett; her sisters, Cheryl Lee Smith and Carol Lynn Howlett along with her daughter-in-law, Deanna Paquin and grandchildren, Hayden and Cooper Paquin and her daughter-in-law, April Raymond.

Our entire family would like to say a very special thank you to all of the dear friends in Linda’s life! Everyone at Spitze House in High River to the nursing staff at both the Foothills Hospital & Care West. And our heartfelt thanks, especially to both Dr. Siray for the amazing palliative care and to Susan McPherson who stayed by our side and assisted the family not only with Linda’s medical care, but also with her loving support that only a true friend can give.

Rest In Peace as you are now with your Lord & Maker our dear daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, auntie, cousin, companion & devoted friend. You will be greatly missed.

The family plans to spread Linda’s ashes in the Longview area sometime this spring.
