Our much loved Mother, Grammy, Sister, Aunt,
and Friend, Kathy Tucker, age 80, of Okotoks,
AB, passed away on July 27, 2023 after a
7 month battle with a rare auto-immune
disease. She will be missed dearly.
Kathy was born on June 21, 1943 to Maurice
and Josephine (Senz) Young in Athabasca, AB.
Kathy’s first job was with AGT, as a telephone
operator, in Turner Valley, AB in 1960. She
was a homemaker for many years and later
on worked at businesses in Okotoks, such as
Thriftway Foods and Sandstone Lodge.
In 2003 Kathy retired and spent her time
playing cards & bingo, floating down the
Sheep River, going to the casino, and travelling
with family and friends. She loved spending
time with family and friends, treasured family
dinners, and outings with her grandchildren
and great grandchildren. Kathy had a quirky
sense of humour (often with no filter!), that
made everyone laugh. Her unique singing
Happy Birthday phone calls will be missed
and thought of often.
Kathy was predeceased by her Father and
Mother Maurice and Josephine Young. She
is survived by her daughter Connie Hart, son
Ken Tucker (Kim Edwards), grandchildren
Delainey Hart, Savannah Skinner (Dwayne),
Joanne Degrazio (Mike), Austin Tucker, Lexie
Tucker, Carter Tucker, and great grand children
Silas Macdonald, Ava & Dylan Degrazio, and
siblings Joan Pedersen (Bill), Dick Young
(Heather), Carol Tucker, Darlene Dallas (Bill),
Sheila Holt (Rick) and best friend Pat Vold.
Mom’s wishes were to be cremated with
no service.
