It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden
passing of John Dominic Delorey of Black Diamond, Alberta.

John was born August 9, 1973 and was the youngest of
four children born to the late Thomas and Isabel (Callahan) Delorey
of Pomquet, Antigonish Co., NS. After graduating from Dr. John Hugh
Gillis Regional High School, John moved to Alberta in 1993 where he
was introduced to the Oil and Gas Industry and where he began his
entrepreneurial career of many talents. Prior to moving out West, John
was employed with EMS in Antigonish. He was passionate about the
outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, boating, woodworking,
gardening, pickling, music, and animals. John was fabulous in the
kitchen, on the BBQ, and was famous for his seafood chowder. John
was proud of his home province of Nova Scotia by the sea and loved his
home by the mountains.

Besides his parents, John was predeceased by grandparents,
Papa Jack, and many aunts and uncles.

John is survived by his wife of 19 years, Candace (Rudd) Delorey;
children Dominic (McKenzie), Joshua (Jessie), Charlyce (Ryan), Colby,
Natasia, Isaac, and Declan, all of Alberta; siblings Anita (Brian) Tompkins
of Alberta, Gary (Jacqueline) Delorey of Antigonish NS, Denise (Delorey)
Stiles of Bedford NS, and stepbrother Jamie (Sangeeta) Campbell of
New Jersey US; nieces and nephews Caitylyn Delorey, Sean Tompkins,
Nathan and Nicholas Stiles. He will be missed by additional family,
aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, neighbors, co-workers, friends
near and far and many acquaintances. The last few years John loved
his time at High Noon Ranch and the peace and comfort the mountain
countryside provided him.

A Funeral Mass as held on Wednesday, October 19th, 2022 at the Black
Diamond Catholic Church.

A Celebration of Life for John in Nova Scotia will be announced at a
later date.

In closing, John was a well-loved and friend to many. He was a person
strong in his Faith and he cherished and loved immensely his beautiful
wife and children. He will be forever missed by so many. The family
would like to thank everyone for their kind support, special prayers,
food, flowers, phone calls, and messages. Special thanks go out to the
