Jase McGregor

Friday, November 20, 2020, Jase Mathew McGregor, our beloved youngest son, passed away far too early at the age of 32 years.

Jase was born on July 23, 1988 in Calgary, Alberta to Sharen and Bryan McGregor. Jase was raised on the family farm south of Black Diamond, a fourth generation future farmer. He worked off the farm in construction and was a great help on the farm.

He was a fast learner and did well within his trade and took pride in his work. Jase was a high-spirited entertaining young man who always had a big smile for you and who made many long lasting friends in school and work. Jase loved a good story and was quick to tell one, often full of jokes and absurd humour. From a young age he freely opened his heart and offer his friendship and even shelter to those who had troubles of their own. Jase was a very dedicated, faithful friend who will fondly remain in peoples memory. Jase grew from a sensative young boy to a strong handsome man who could be sometimes brutally honest and had a high standard to be treated with the same regard, loved his home life, was a big basketball fan, and he LOVED fishing.

Jase was in a car accident September 22, 2015 that unfortunately changed the direction of his life forever.

Jase loved his family passionately (especially his Mom) and his dog Koda girl, and was loved in return. As well as our much loved son, Jase was brother to Bryn (Audra) McGregor, Tiffany (Ryan) Forbes, Calen (Alix) McGregor, Uncle to Caelia, Emma, Laycie, Braxtyn, Sonia Lee, Marcade; Grandson to Joyce and Bob McGregor from High River and nephew and cousin to the many of the McGregor clan, and Loyd Knight family from British Columbia. Jase was pre-deceased by his Grampa Loyd Knight and his uncle John Knight both of Vancouver BC.

A celebration of Jases life is planned for his birthday in 2021, hopefully after these nasty Covid restrictions are long forgotten. In the meantime a page will be set up on Jases Facebook where family and friends can enjoy Jase and share comments in a photo presentation prepared by his brother Calen. Honorary Pallbearers are Bryn McGregor, Calen McGregor, Shane Knight, Nick Knight, Brandon Bo, Garrett Geddes, Tye Fisher, and Miranda Amberlyn Flanagan.

An obituary is also presented for condolences at the Snodgrass Funeral Home website.

Also his sister and friends have thoughtfully set up a memorial shrine at the McGregor driveway where respects may be payed in a covid safe manner.

We would like to extend our thanks for the support and love expressed by our extended family and friends. Please, in lieu of flowers forward any donation to a charity of your choice in Jases name.

Stay safe and pass on the love.
