It is with great sadness that the family of Jack
Foreman Ward announce his passing of their
husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather
on Friday April 29, 2022 in High River, AB. Jack was
91 years old and passed peacefully surrounded by
his family and wife of 69 years, Eleanor Ward.

Jack, son of Milton and Myrtle Ward, was
born at Arrowwood on November 12, 1930.
He is predeceased by older sisters, Ruby
Fletcher, Audrey Neubauer, Shirley Hood,
Joyce Ward and a younger sister Beverly Joan
Weeks. He is survived by his younger brother
George Ward.

ack is survived by his loving wife,
Eleanor (Brown) who he married on
November 21st, 1952; his children Norman
(Donna), their children Neil Ward and Jennifer
(Mike) Nordick-Ward and their daughter Emily;
Barbara Ward of Edmonton; his son Lee (Andrea)
and his children Megan (Karl) Denwood and their
daughter Harper, Kaitlin (Graham Cook) Ward and
baby son, Rachel Ward (fiance William Green),
Colton Church and Cailey Church.

Jack finished high school at Mount Royal
College (University) and also attended SAIT
as well as Vermillion School of Agriculture before
returning home to Arrowwood to continue farming.
He was an active part of a larger community in
both High River and Arrowwood where he lived and
worked throughout his life. He was a longstanding
member of the Cornerstone Lodge and Gleichen
chapters of the Masons. He has contributed to
many organizations including being president
of the Canadian Limousin Association, board
member of the Arrowwood and High River United
Church, Bar U and Arrowwood 4-H Beef Club to
name a few.

Jack was incredibly smart and well loved by all.
In his retirement he enjoyed travelling to Yuma
with Eleanor where he renewed his passion for
wood working and whittled many unique items
over the years.

Together Jack and Eleanor raised a family, built a
successful agri-business, travelled the world and
made long-lasting connections with those they
met along the way.

Jack will be remembered by family and friends at
the High River United Church on May 28th, 2022
at 1:00 PM with a ceremony, lunch and interment
to follow. The service will be live streamed on High
River United Church Youtube channel. Please see
Snodgrass Funeral Home website for livestream
link as well as the recording which will be posted
later for those who cannot attend. Masks will be
provided at the door.
