Harold married Audrey on the 14th of July 1947, and in June of 1948 they were both baptized at the Vancouver convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses. From this time on, the love of sharing the good news of God’s Kingdom with others (Matthew 24:14) developed in Harold’s heart and moved them both, Harold and Audrey, to begin preaching full time, with their assignment initially taking them to St. Thomas Ontario and soon after, the circuit work where they would visit a circuit of congregations, to encourage and build up members of each congregation. From here Harold and Audrey were invited to attend the Bible School of Gilead, graduated in 1953 (21st class), and assigned as missionaries to Jamaica where they spent most of the next 45 years, until poor health forced them to return home to Canada, where they continued to serve faithfully until their deaths.

Many will miss his encouraging words, powerfully moving talks and thoughtful comments during the meetings. We look forward to the day when all can welcome him back.
