Fiorella Cole, beloved wife of Allen Cole, of Turner Valley, AB, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2020.

Born in Vulcan, AB on July 10, 1955, Fiorella completed her schooling there before attending the University of Lethbridge, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts and Science. Upon graduating from University, Fiorella began her journey as an entrepreneur and restauranteur, opening establishments in Pincher Creek, Fernie, BC and in North Battleford, SK.

Fiorella met her husband Allen (Pork Chop) Cole in Manchester, Iowa where they lived for a few years before returning to Canada. Fiorella and Allen were married on July 9th, 1994. In 1998 Fiorella joined her two sisters, partnering in their film company – beginning an illustrious and award-winning career as a film production coordinator and producer, working on many dramatic films for Paramount, CBS, ABC, and other international Media companies. Fiorella accomplished much throughout her life and was particularly proud of her contribution to the Film Industry in Alberta. She was recognized as “The Chef” by her family and friends who raved about everything she cooked from her delectable spaghetti sauce to her sticky buns. She turned every holiday meal into a celebration and gourmet feast made from recipes she created

A fabulous dancer, Fiorella could bust out a tango, a cha-cha - or her and Pork Chop’s favourite - the two-step, at the drop of a ball cap. She had a dry, zesty, feisty sense of humour that would always leave everyone in the room laughing. As an avid animal lover, she adored her dogs fiercely. Friends often commented on her compassion and understanding; always asking her for emotional support and advice. Although, she was a career woman, Fiorella considered her devotion as a wife her greatest achievement. Always preferring her home to travelling; she made it the place to-go-to for great treats and comfort. Fiorella was a dutiful daughter, sister, step-mother, aunt, and grandmother.

Besides her loving husband Allen, Fiorella is survived by step-children, Tyler Cole (Manchester, Iowa) and Jessika Youngblom (Waseca, Minnesota); step-grandchildren, Keylee and Ava Cole, (Manchester, Iowa); sisters-in-law, Delpha (Tootie) Ostrander (Manchester, Iowa) and Nui Rueangwong (Okotoks); brother John Lever (Okotoks) and sisters, Nives Lever (Okotoks) and Eda Lishman (High River); and brothers-in-law, Jamie Ostrander (Manchester), Barry Harvey, (Okotoks) and Peter K. Smith (High River). In Italy she is survived by Zio Marino and Zia Pia and many Italian cousins. She was an Aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.

Fiorella was predeceased by her father Rodolofo Lever (1997) of Vulcan, AB, her mother Maria (Zambaldi) Lever (2019), and her in-laws, Harvey Leroy Cole, (2001), Vera Mae Cole (2012), Arlyn Kay Cole (2014) and Darryl Leroy Cole (2020) all of Manchester, Iowa.

Fiorella’s motto in life was simple and eloquent: “Believe in the Magic”.
