It is with profound sadness that the family of Eugene (Gene) Mike Mazurek, announce his peaceful passing, surrounded by his loving wife and family, on Sunday, February 14, 2021, at the age of 85 years.
Gene is survived by his wife of 58 years, Katie, daughter, Bernice (Rob) Kuntz, son, Dwayne (Cindy) Mazurek, daughter, Verna (Bill) Mazurek; sister, Emily (Ed) Martin, sisters-in-law, Alice and Hope Mazurek; grandchildren, Darin (Lindsay) Kuntz, Jessica (Michael) Gallant, Kirk Mazurek (Meagan), Kirstin Mazurek (Scott), Tristan and Damon Mazurek; great-grandchildren Jaxon, Alexa, Mya, Ryder, Katie and Cameron; as well as many nieces and nephews, and cousins from afar.
Gene was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Annie, his daughter, Debbie, infant grandson, Joshua, and brothers Stanley, Ted, and Matt.
Gene was a force of nature and was determined to provide for his family. He had a kind, quiet demeanor with a cheeky sense of humour. Anyone who dared go along was always welcome on his adventures. He was an astute businessman, but when he had “enough”, he was able to simply enjoy the fruits of his labour. Spending time with his family meant everything.
