October 25, 1934 – March 18, 2023
Effie Simpson of High River, AB, passed away
suddenly on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at the
age of 88 years.
Effie was predeceased by her mother Florence
“Sis” Simpson (nee Cullen), father David
Simpson, and brother David Simpson. Effie
is survived by her nephews and nieces, Andy
Simpson (Margeret), Jane Simpson Martin
(Doug), Jimmy “Bear” Simpson, and Sarah
Simpson (Shayne Dillabough); numerous
great-nephews, great-nieces, and cousins; the
Simpson family, and the Cullen family. She is
also survived by loving extended family, Lori,
Doug, Chad, Cody, Cyle, Cari Lacey (Munir) and
families, Signe, Eric, Kelsey, Travis, and Zoe
Tudor; as well as many, many friends all across
the world.
A Celebration of Life will be held at McInnis &
Holloway (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road
SE, Calgary, AB) on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at
2:00 PM. Reception to follow in the Hospitality
Centre at the Funeral Home. Family and
friends who are unable to attend in person
are invited to join Miss. Simpson’s service
streamed live on the day of the service at
www.McInnisandHolloway.com. For those who
are unable to view live, a recording of the service
will be posted. Condolences, memories, and
photos may also be shared and viewed there.
In living memory of Effie Simpson, a tree will
be planted in the Ann & Sandy Cross
Conservation Area.
