2nd February, 1971 – 30th September, 2020
It is with deep sadness, that we announce the sudden death of our much-loved son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, Michael Francis Donovan. He was born on the 2nd February,1971 and died suddenly on Wednesday, 30th September, 2020 at the South Campus Hospital in Calgary, Alberta. We are grateful for the nearly fifty years that God gave him to us, and believe fully that, he has joined his father Clarence, younger brother Eric and nephew Wade in heaven. May his soul rest in Peace.
Michael is survived by his mother Joy Donovan formerly of Blackie, his sister Elizabeth (Chris) Bourassa of Vancouver, his sister in-law Bobby Joe Donovan of Blackie, as well as seven nieces and nephews: David, Victoria, Matthew and Reine Bourassa; Scott, Drew and Charlotte Donovan.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated by Father Mariusz Sztuk at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in High River at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, 6th October, 2020. Lunch was served at Snodgrass Funeral Home, with seating available inside and outside to observe Covid-19 social distancing safety protocols. Interment to follow at the Brant Cemetery.
