David Murray Lovo, born March 16, 1959 passed away peacefully at the Rockyview General Hospital, Calgary Alberta on February 27, 2020 at the age of 60. Dave is survived by his loving mother Lois Lovo in Naniamo, BC and four sisters Nancy Littke (Zen), Brenda McPherson, Linda Martin and Barb Miller (Wilf) as well as 4 nieces, a nephew and brother Greg Johnston. He was pre-deceased by his father, Don Lovo.

Dave also leaves behind friends too numerous to mention, who love him and will miss him dearly. Dave was well known to many as the hardworking, loyal and trustworthy friend that could be counted on to step up to the plate whenever they needed him and be there for them during the good or bad times.

Dave lived most of his life in the Red Deer Lake/Priddis area and spent his last many years happily building, playing and living on his acreage. He was known for his love of bowhunting and had the trophies and records to prove it. When he wasn’t excavating, plowing snow or hunting, he loved to build log furniture, have campfires by his firepit and visit or have a rum and coke with family and friends. Poppa would have been proud of the woodworking skills he developed over the years and the man he became. Dave’s door was always open.

Dave, we will all miss you more than you could imagine.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Priddis Pub, Sunday Mar 15, 2020 from 1-4 pm. Please join us to say goodbye and share our memories of this amazing, gentle and special man.
Everyone is welcome.

Donations can be made to the Alberta Wilderness Association in Dave’s name. https://albertawilderness.ca/
