April 30 2008 – April 10th, 2021

Colton passed away on April 10, 2021 at the age of 12 years old.

Colton was born in Rocky Mountain House and is greatly missed by his parents Dave and Farole (Smith) Kikkert. He was a caring, kind, light-hearted, active and adventurous kid. Always out in the yard with an idea, eager to put into action. He was always helpful to anyone who needed a hand, two- or four-legged, young or old. Colton loved all animals; he was an outdoor fanatic always eager to go hunting, fishing, bike riding, and camping. He loved flying his RC airplane and had already mowed and groomed his runway for this spring.

He was a master builder/inventor with Lego or anything that he could get his hands on. Any sport or activity that Colton tried, he excelled at, including Sodbusters baseball, Okotoks Millennium Junior League bowling, 4H Legendary Flatlands and 4H Perfect Paws clubs.

Colton is survived by: his parents, Dave and Farole Kikkert; his grandparents, Iris (Hagen) and Rob Dunham and John and Jane Kikkert; great grandmother, Esther Hagen, aunts, uncles and extended family members including great aunts, great uncles, and cousins.

Lovingly missed by his family, his dog Vixen and cat Izzy, and all his friends including those at St. Francis of Assisi Academy. Never to be forgotten – fly high Colton….

A private service was held on Monday April 19th, 2021 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in High River. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Colton’s favourite charity, Heaven Can Wait Animal Rescue Foundation in High River.
