C.L. (Ted) Weaver of Okotoks, AB passed away
peacefully at Tudor Manor in Okotoks AB, on
January 15, 2022, at the age of 92 years.

Ted was predeceased by his wife Betty, daughter
Debbie, grandson Jim and sisters Delma and
Evon.

Ted was Born April 23, 1929, in Monroe,LA and
went on to live a very long and adventurous
life. He joined the US Marine Corps at the age
of 17 and travelled the world as a US Marine.
He married Margaret Elizabeth (Betty) Dafoe
(from DeWinton, Alberta) in Hawaii in 1952.

Ted retired from military service in 1969 and
relocated with his family to Okotoks, Alberta
where he operated the Okotoks Husky service
station for a number of years then went on
to become a key employee for the Town of
Okotoks until his retirement in 1990.

Ted is survived by his brother Tom (Mary) of
Kingswood, Texas, daughters Leslie Stern
of Calgary, Margaret Shadlock (Lawrence)
of Hanna, AB, Dianne Nelson (Jerry) of
Youngstown, AB, and sons Gordon Weaver
(Eve) of Beaufort, SC, and Chris Weaver
(Patti) of Okotoks, AB and many, many
grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He
will be remembered by many for his love
for his family and many contributions to his
community.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that
donations be made in Ted’s name to a charity
of the donor’s choice.

The family would like to thank all the staff
at Tudor Manor and The Brenda Stratford
Foundation for their compassion and care
over the past 5 years.
