Chantal leaves to morn her life companion
Tim McLean of Turner Valley, her mother
Rose Marie LaFleche of Okotoks and her
father Rodger Teasdale in Thailand, as well
as her step sister Rene Jansen and family
of Turner Valley. She leaves uncles, aunts,
cousins and many friends and coworkers In
the film industry and also her little dog Maisy.
Chantal was born in Edmonton where she
grew up and went to school. She moved
to Calgary to attend U of C and decided to
make southern Alberta her home. After living
in Calgary for many years she settled in
Turner Valley 22 years ago and made it her
permanent home.

She was an entrepreneur at heart and as
such bought her first business when she was
25 years old. She operated it for five years
and then sold to enter the film industry as
a caterer. Eight years ago she started Rusty
Spur Catering and catered to many corporate
events and weddings but kept her association
with the film industry.

Chantal was also was an avid traveler and
when she wasn’t working in film she was
traveling the world which included spending
8 months in the Middle East working in
a kibbutz in Israel. When she met Tim she
finally had a travel companion and they made
many trips to Asia and Peru and Mexico.

A celebration of Chantal’s life will be
held Saturday, November 19th between
1:00 pm - 4:00 pm at the Griffith Centre,
122 Government Road (Highway 22 South),
Black Diamond, Alberta.
