William (Bill) passed away peacefully at 94 years of age in High River Hospital on October 1, 2023, surrounded by the love of family. Bill was born January 13, 1929 at Kincaid Saskatchewan to Wallace and Mildred, and grew up in Mankota, Moose Jaw and Regina, all in Saskatchewan.

Bill met his future wife Christine Fines in Regina; they wed on September 2, 1950 and were blessed in due course with three children, Bruce, Catherine and Brian. He retired from Canadian Airlines in 1986 as a Senior Director, having worked his entire career with one company. After retirement he was active in the Canadian Aviation Historical Society, Airline Retirees Association, and St. Peter’s Anglican Church.

Bill was predeceased by his parents Wallace and Mildred, sister Beulah Stinson and brother Gordon “Scotty” Cameron, and his beloved daughter Catherine (survived by James) Hansen.

He will be missed greatly by Christine (née Fines), his beloved wife of 73 years, children Bruce (Andrea) Cameron and Brian (Kathy) Cameron, and their prolific tribe of grandchildren: Jenifer (George) Lane, Kristin (Robin) Mitchell, Sonja (Charles) Metcalf, Jonathon (Monica Ducuara) Cameron, Kaja (Michael) Selnes, Bjarne Hansen, Willliam Cameron and James Cameron, and also great-grandchildren: Jenson (Lisa) Heaton, Sonja Heaton, Kaitlin Heaton, Catherine Mitchell, Christian Mitchell, Caeden Mitchell, Cameron Mitchell, Olin Metcalfe, Asher Metcalfe, Maggie Metcalfe, Claire Lane, Grayson Metcalfe, and Lily Cameron-Ducuara.
