Beatrice “Marion” Ward (Williamson) passed away peacefully at the age of 98 surrounded by family on September 16, 2019.
She was born on July 17, 1921 in Calgary, Alberta. She moved with her family to Lousana, Okotoks and Armstrong, B.C.
Marion moved back to Okotoks and married Allan Ward, her husband of 64 years where they spent their entire life working the farm. They had two children, Larry and Doris. Marion was predeceased by her husband Allan; her brothers Richard, Ross, Allan and Eric.
Marion worked hard on the farm all her life. She always had beautiful flowers and the most immaculate garden. If you couldn’t find Marion in the garden she would be in the kitchen baking for the grandkids. Her freezer was always full of cookies, bars and jams to send home with every visit. She would always have little helpers at her side picking raspberries or baking buns. Up until her very last days her biggest joys were always having visits from the great-grand kids.
Marion is survived by her son Larry (Linda), daughter Doris, her grandkids Kris, Kurt, Kelly and Andrea as well as 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great - great-grandson.
Marion will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
