Andre (Andy), a son of the late Albert and Annette (nee Belanger) Turcotte, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Oilfields General Hospital, Black Diamond AB, on Friday April 16, 2021 at the age of 70.

Andy is survived by his loving wife, Andrea and will be remembered as the much loved father of Kara and Shani and 'Andad' of Kaehler. He is also survived by his four siblings; Gilles (Melanie), Guy (Laura), Laurier, Richard (Rose) along with his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ian and Wendy Lawrence and many nieces and nephews. He will be fondly remembered by his extended family and many friends.

Andy was born in Bonnyville, AB on January 2, 1951, after working many years on the family farm Andy pursued law enforcement. Following a 25 year career with the Regina City Police Service he retired as a Sergeant Detective in Robbery and Homicide. He continued at Casino Regina for over 10 years as a Gaming Control Investigator and Supervisor.

In 2004, Andy and his beloved wife of 48 years, Andrea, retired to their new home in Black Diamond, AB, where they enjoyed the quiet of country life. The always energetic Andy soon decided to work for Foothills School Division Bus Transportation, for which he worked fourteen years until his untimely passing.

Andy enjoyed nature and travelling, so when not exploring North America or going overseas on family vacations, he was out camping or just enjoying nature in his own backyard whenever possible and will be recalled as an avid walker. Andy loved to cook and enjoyed making special weekend dinners for family gatherings.

In keeping with Andy’s expressed wishes, cremation has taken place. Due to the current Covid-19, he will be laid to rest with only immediate family members attending at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens in Calgary.
