DeWinton bull rider tops rodeo in Millarville -- so far

Foothills athletes are in the hunt for a paycheque as the Okotoks Pro Rodeo in Millarville kicks into its final Day on Aug. 25.

DeWinton’s Brock Radford, a Foothills Comp grad, is the lone bull rider with a score after two days of competition. He had an 84 on Wayne Vold’s All Access on Friday night.

In steer wrestling, Okotoks’ Jonny Webb is in ninth-place with a 5.7.

Millarville home-town girl Jenna O’Reilly is third in barrel racing with a time of 15.756 second and Suzanne DePaoli from just down the road in Longview is sixth at 15.876.

However, there is still a full day of rodeo this afternoon. Some Foothills area athletes who are up on Aug. 25 include: Saddle bronc: Sam Kelts, Stavely; Bareback, Pascal Isabelle, Okotoks; Linden Woods, High River; Ladies barrel racing, Toni Dixon, Millarville, Kylie Whiteside, Longview, Bradi Whiteside, Longview.  

The Aug. 25 performance goes at 1 p.m.

The ladies break-away roping final is at 3:45 p.m.
