Mark Sutherland no. 5 after first night at Strathmore Stampede

Okotoks driver Mark Sutherland sits fifth after the first night of racing at the Strathmore Stampede chuckwagon races on Aug. 2.

Sutherland clocked in at 1:14.96, putting him .64 seconds behind leader Logan Gorst, the 2019 Calgary Stampede champion.

Jordie Fike of Blackie hit the the final spot on the top 10 with a time of 1:15.91.

High River's Jason Glass was 13th at 1:16.14.

Night 2 of 4 of the Strathmore Stampede races goes tonight at 7 p.m. in Strathmore.
