Foothills Ringette takes home four medals in second annual High River, Okotoks tournament

Foothills Ringette had plenty to celebrate when its second annual flagship event took to the ice in High River and Okotoks.

The Foothills Freeze tournament featured 30 teams over three days of competition at the Bob Snodgrass Rec Plex and Piper Arena.

Foothills won four medals at the event. The Foothills Force struck gold in U12 B, the Foothills Phantoms scared up a silver medal performance in U14 B, the Foothills Banana Warriors battled to a silver in U10 step 3 and the Foothills Hurricanes weathered the storm for a bronze medal in U14 C.

Foothills Fire finished fourth in the U12 C division and the Foothills Ice Screamers competed in the U10 Step 2 friendship series.

The association will be holding a Come Try Ringette event on April 7 at Okotoks Centennial Arena Gold at 2:45 p.m.
