Foothills Storm charge into AJFHL playoffs as second seed

A storm of playoff hockey is on the horizon in the Foothills.

In their first season in the Alberta Junior Female Hockey League, the Foothills Storm enter the postseason as the second seed in the South Division with a 12-12-2 record.

Foothills is paired up with the Lethbridge Eagles in the 2vs3 matchup.

The opening round playoff series kicks off Saturday, Feb. 17 at 5:15 p.m. at the Blackie Arena.

Game 2 is the following afternoon in Lethbridge. Game 3 is back in Blackie on Feb. 24 at 8 p.m.

Just one point separated the division foes in the regular season, with the Eagles having the edge in the season series with four regulation wins in six games.

The other playoff series feature the Cochrane Chaos against the Calgary Titans, the Fort Saskatchewan Fury versus Sherwood Park Steele and the Central Alberta Amazons clashing with the Edmonton Wolves.
