A spot in the WCBL championship series is on the line Tuesday in Okotoks.

The Lethbridge Bulls staved off elimination Monday night at Spitz Stadium with a 5-1 win over the Okotoks Dawgs in Game 2 to even the best-of-three WCBL Western Final at 1-1.

After falling down early in the contest, Okotoks had a number of opportunities to come back in the tilt, but couldn't capitalize on six hits, three walks and five errors by the Bulls defence. Will Hollis had the lone RBI on the night for the visitors on a single in the top of the third.

Dawgs southpaw Matt Wilkinson was terrific out of the bullpen, tossing 5.1 innings, allowing two walks, two hits and striking out seven in relief of starter Nick Vickers.

Lethbridge did most of its damage in the third inning, scoring three runs led by a two-run double off the bat of outfielder Hank Forrest.

The Dawgs took the series opener Sunday night in walk-off fashion as Brett Esau singled with the bases loaded in the ninth to secure the 6-5 victory.

Game 3 goes Tuesday night at 7:05 p.m. at Seaman Stadium. In the Eastern Final, the Regina Red Sox lead the Swift Current 57s 1-0.
