Cavalry FC play their first-ever Concacaf Champions Cup game tonight against Orlando City SC at Starlight Stadium on Vancouver Island.

It’s Cavalry’s home game in the two-leg opening round matchup but it’s being played in B.C., at the home of Pacific FC of the Canadian Premier League, due to the impact of an Alberta winter on the ATCO Field pitch at Spruce Meadows.

Kick-off is at 8 p.m. MST.

The second leg is in Orlando on Tuesday, Feb. 27 at 4 p.m. MST.

The winner will play Tigres FC, who knocked off the Vancouver Whitecaps last week, in the round of 16.

Cavalry earned its first opportunity to take on the best in North and Central America by virtue of its CPL Shield as the 2023 regular season champions in Canada.

Orlando City, MLS Eastern Conference semi-finalists in 2023, will be making their second appearance in the continental tournament.
