Apple Festival

Enjoy all things apple at Granary Road's Apple Fest. This weekend-long festival includes apple-themed contests, crafts, demonstratoins,a ctivities and a market. 

When: Sept. 26 and 27 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Where: Granary Road

Cost: Free except $10 a person to enter the Active Learning Park

Harvest Festival

Head to Black Diamond this weekend to celebrate fall and Alberta Culture Days with the inaugural Harvest Festival. The two-day event begins with First Nations drumming and dancing by Eden Valley residents Friday evening and continues Saturday with carnival games, a market and buskers on Centre Avenue. Money raised from the event will support the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Foothills.

When: Sept. 25 at 6:30 p.m. and Sept. 26 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: Hard Knox Brewery and Centre Avenue

Cost: Free

The Most Beautiful Art Tour of Alberta

Check out the talent of artists in The Most Beautiful Art Tour of Alberta, which takes participants to art galleries and studios in Okotoks, Black Diamond, Turner Valley and the Foothills County as part of Alberta Culture Days. Expect to see a plethora of art and enjoy demonstrations at Bluerock Gallery, Eversfield Ceramics, Okotoks Art Gallery, Lineham House Galleries, Leighton Art Centre and Firebrand Studio, and the studios of Mady Thiel-Kopstein and Susan Kristoferson.

When: Sept. 25-27

Where: Throughout the Foothills

Cost: Free

 

Zooom Film Festival

Log on for the Okotoks Film Festival's fourth annual Zooom Film Festival, featuring the creations of five teams of young filmmakers. This year's event will live-stream due to Alberta Health regulations surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic and will include musical entertainment, a magician and an awards ceremony.

When: Sept. 26 at 4 p.m.
