The Western Wheel's staff have chosen to stand with those who wish to end bullying, sporting pink shirts for the day. Pink Shirt Day started in 2007 after a P.E.I. student was bullied for wearing a pink shirt.

Pink Shirt Day started in 2007 after a P.E.I. student was bullied for wearing a pink shirt. In response, several of his classmates donned pink shirts in protest of the regressive behaviour directed at the student.
