A fire advisory has been put in place for Foothills County due to dry summer conditions.
Effective Aug. 4 fire permits are being issued, but may be cancelled at any time with little to no notice.
Residents are asked to use extreme caution while burning and take precautionary measures such as soaking the area adjacent to fire pits with water.
The restriction will remain in effect until all areas of the County receive substantial moisture to alleviate current dry conditions.
